I have been doing genealogical research since 1990. With Internet and its endless possibilities, I am able to put an end to those old brickwalls, to get to know my cousins and to get closer to my objective, i.e. find all the descendents of Mathieu Hubou whose family name is Tourville and its derivatives as well as so many others on the way.
While doing my research, I learn so much about the history of North America and I must admit I have a little preference for the 19th century. I am particularly interested in the migration of the French Canadians to the United States.
One of my project aims at finding the origin of French Canadians that lived in Vergennes and Ferrisburgh of Addison County, in Vermont. Vital, church and census records of these towns are the tools I am using to do this. My research initially covers the period 1800-1880. The results of my research are posted on this Website.
Photos!
Some of you were very generous by sharing some family pictures with us. I would like to warmly thank them. I invite you all to find those hidden treasures and share them with us. Many were able to discover the faces of great-grand-parents thanks to those pictures.
Happy research!
